The Bay View Garden And Yard Society is proud to collaborate with the South Shore Farmers’ Market and Milwaukee County Parks to kick off the 2010 growing season with the popular Bay View Plant Sale at South Shore Park.

Blooming in color with Milwaukee’s beautiful lakefront as a backdrop, the Bay View Plant Sale hosts a variety of local, commercial plant vendors with an impressive assortment of beautiful, quality plants. Shoppers will be able to make their selections from hundreds of plants; including some of the best annuals and perennials, hanging baskets, ornamental trees and shrubs, vegetables and herbs, exotic heirloom favorites, and tropical plants. Delicious bakery and coffee will also be available for sale. Garden club members will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about gardening.

When: Saturday, May 22, 2010   from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Saturday, April 24th is our Bay View Neighborhood Cleanup.  Join the BVNA
and our partners, South Shore Park and Humboldt Park Watches, for a morning
of community action.  We’ll spread out to pick up our parks, beaches and
streets.  At noon we’ll meet back for lunch.  Supplies, food, and drinks
provided, but bring your own mug or water bottle to be entered in our
raffle.

The South Shore Farmers’ Market is located in beautiful Bay View directly across from Lake Michigan in South Shore Park (2900 South Shore Drive). The market will operate every Saturday, June 19 through October 16, 2010, (with one week off in July).   The market will be open from 8 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
